  Bar and restaurant staff realy good, affternon reception staff realy bad and unpolite always with a bad face and useless for normal tips.

  Location: The hotel is located 2 minutes walking distance from the gondola (5 when carrying ski equipment), and 5 minutes from the sport center (ice skating, carting...). There is also a cool bar nearby. Basically whole Canillo is 10 minutes walk from side to side, but when carrying ski equipment, the short distance to the gondola is very convenient. No real apres ski in Canillo, it's a great choise if you want to ski and chill... Rooms: The rooms are small, but very convenient and well equipped. There are two big closets(advantage!), TV, mini bar, hair dryer, and a spaceuios bathroom with a shower AND a bathtub, so you can pick your favorite. The rooms are well warmed even without using the air conditioning, we actually opened the window some nights.. Rooms where cleaned every day but some days they forgot to change our towels and add soap (sorted easily with a call to the reception). Facilities and more: First of all and very important, there is WiFi everywhere! with a good signal and speed too. well done hotel! There is an underground parking, we didn't use it so I'm not sure if it's inclusive or you have to pay more to park. The hotel has a free ski room at the parking level. Each room has a closet that fits two sets of skies and boots (I guess two snowboards will fit as well). Again, because of the short distance to the gondola, there is no need to hire a keeping service at the gondola building. If you decide to stay somewhere else, you'll have to consider that.. There is a very nice spa, including three jacuzzis, strong streams, wet and dry saunas, and an ice room (when -17 outside is not enough). A cap is mandatory, also for gentleman (the hotel supplys it for free). The spa is usually exclusive to the price, and you have to pay extra. For us it was included with the bundle we purchased, but in any case the spa is very recommended. They offer massage services as well, pricey, in my opinion. Dining room: There is a nice verity of food at breakfast and dinner. Breakfast does repeats itself more then dinner but really it's great. no complaints about verity. At breakfast you also get to drink pretty much whatever you want, coffee water, juice.. At dinner, and that was my biggest disappointment, you get NONE! want to drink? take out your wallet. In my opinion, the fact that I have to pay for a glass of water at dinner is not less then outrageous! Water is really the base of life. If I can't get that for free with my meals, then the hotel can't get all the stars it truly deserve. The hotel may charge what they want for other beverages, but please give us water. free. thanks. Please stop this bad standard. Someone please let me know when water (even tap water) will be offered at dinner, and I'll change the rating. Service: Ok that's really the cherry on top of the cake. I have never ever encountered such a great staff, that are always there, willing to help and fulfill your requests, always with a big smile. Thank you so much for making out vacation the greatest! Everyone was great but I want to use this platform to personally thank two people: Edwin at the dining room, running around fulfilling my annoying requests, always happy, always carrying.   Very serviceminded and friendly Hotel! The waiters are happy, smiling, singing and will make your stay a pleasure. The spa center is great for recovery after hunting powder snow in Grandvalira.

  Absolutely lovely stay. I can highly recommend going here for dinner. It's great value for money and the buffet has plenty of vegetarian options, which is hard to find here in Canillo!

  I stayed at room 405. There was a sound from a fan than would not let you sleep until 22.30 and would wake you up at 6.30 every day... Avoid 405, and also 407 Room cleanliness was not top. Lots of dust inside closet. Good buffet nice breakfast. A little too far to walk with ski boots to the "eggs" that take you up to the slopes.
